About F.L. Ternskie

F.L. Ternskie is a company of expert writers, each of us having at least ten years’ experience writing for a wide range of clients.  Two of us have been either freelancing or staff writing for over twenty years. The list of what our writers have been hired to write or edit is extensive.  We’ve been paid to write ad copy, reviews of products and services, press releases, office copy, news copy, articles for magazines and newspapers, and we have even drafted proposals for those who aren’t quite sure how to put their ideas into words.  Several of us have published short stories in periodicals or literary journals.  We have experience editing novels, screenplays, short stories, journalism, letters to political representatives, academic theses in the sciences, and even personal memoirs.  We all have writing-intensive degrees in journalism, literature, and/or the social sciences, but we know it takes more than proficiency in all the grammars and styles needed for effective communication in order to be confident that a piece of writing will elicit the desired result.  At F.L. Terskie, we are all well-seasoned in the “psychodynamics of written communication,” which means simply that we know exactly how a piece of writing needs to be written in order for it to be read exactly the way our client wants it to be read and understood.  Robots cannot do what we can do, so we hope you’ll try us out!

Hire Us

Contact us and describe what you need and we can discuss a rate that will work for you.  The rate will depend mainly on the size and complexity of the writing project, but it may also depend on how soon you need the work completed.  We can write original copy from scratch, we can edit copy someone else has already written, or we can finish and edit copy that has been started but is unfinished.  We do not edit novels or any documents longer than 90 double-spaced pages.  That said, we can edit your thesis if it’s longer than 90 pages, but the rate will depend on the thesis, itself (which we will ask you to send to us—but we ask that you not send us your thesis until we have requested it from you).  Additionally, two of us have many years’ experience as researchers in the social sciences and humanities.  If you have a research project that you want co-piloted, then feel free to contact us about it.  Finally, we offer a proofreading service.  If you are writing something, anything at all (for your boss, members of your club, your clients, your prof or teacher, or even your friend), that you feel you would like given a careful read, then certainly consider sending it to us.  Proofreading is a resource we offer that absolutely everyone communicating in writing should utilize.  We hope you will find our rates for proofreading reasonable.  Please note: Proofreading is something we define as being a service for shorter communications.  It is also more “collaborative” due to the interpersonal nature of the communication.  Furthermore, while we are willing to edit theses, we would prefer merely to proofread papers written by high school or undergraduate students.
